In this seminar we will discuss a few strategies used by hedge fund managers. We will review the risks and the advantages of various strategies and compare them to classic investment methodologies such as buy and hold or asset diversification. |

Dr. Barzilay is the executive chairman of Genome Compiler Corporation, the leading vendor of a software platform for Synthetic Biology. Earlier, he was the interim CEO of CollaBrx, a biotechnology company which helped oncologists develop customized therapies for cancer patients. Dr. Barzilay was a General Partner with Walden International, a global Venture Capital firm. At Walden Dr. Barzilay led several investments in innovative software companies and served on their boards. Prior to joining Walden Dr. Barzilay was a co-founder, chairman, and CEO of Mergent Systems, a business-to-business e-commerce infrastructure start-up. Prior to Mergent, Dr. Barzilay held a variety of senior management positions in the software industry and was an AI researcher at Xerox Parc. Dr. Barzilay has an engineering degree from the Technion in Israel and an M.B.A. and Ph.D. degree from the University of Pittsburgh. |

Ogen Perry is a portfolio manager at Persistix Compass Management which he co-founded in 2012. Compass is a conservative hedge fund which seeks to deliver equity level returns with the volatility more traditionally associated with highly rated fixed income investments. |

Zvi Eintracht is an innovator who built several ground breaking technology companies over the years. With ScanVec he developed the revolutionary raster-to-vector technology and an all-in-one, device independent graphics design and production platform that catapulted ScanVec to dominating the signage making industry for the past 20 years. With Real Time Image he introduced high-quality on-demand wavelet based image-streaming, and brought remote medical image review to the healthcare world, and remote collaboration in print design and production to the advertising world and the pre-press & print-production business. After considerable success over the years – including taking ScanVec public on Nasdaq in 1995, selling Real Time Image print business to Kodak in 2003, and the healthcare business to IDX (GE Medical Systems) in 2005, Zvi – who specializes in signal processing and holds Masters degree in electrical engineering - shifted his research efforts to quantitative finance. |
