These latest car
navigation systems utilizing FlyOver technology to display aerial imagery as
realistic 3D navigation map with all maps attributes. FlyOver 2nd
generation aerial imagery streaming technology, presents Japan entire 47
Prefectures in four seasons view, as well as detailed 97 cities, indicate the
current car position and trace the car movement in real-time via an on board
GPS. In addition the “Sky Cruise View” provides route guidance and Point of
Interest placement. Realistic sky textures for day, sunset and night are
dynamically changed with matching real-time change in image color tone.
Kenwood will aim
to bring the home theater experience to automobiles with a new line of car
audio-visual products that it will put on sale between early February and early
March 2004.
Included will be
two audio-visual navigation systems. Priced at 298,000 yen, the HDV-910 is the
top-of-the-line navigation system equipped with a 20GB hard drive, a CD/DVD
drive, as well as a MD player. Alternatively, with a price tag of 248,000 yen,
the HDV-810 features a 20GB drive and a CD/DVD drive.
