ISRAEL TECH PRIVATE PLACEMENTS – CURRENTLY RAISING

 

INNOWAVE RAISING $30 MILLION

ECI Telecom (Nasdaq: ECIL) subsidiary InnoWave Wireless Systems is reportedly raising $20 million to $30 million. The company ended Q4 2001 with revenues of $22.5 million, down from $31 million in the previous quarter. Operating losses widened to $6.6 million, compared with a $2.9 million operating loss in Q3.

TRIMUS LOOKING NEXT ROUND

Trimus is currently raising a $2 million to $3 million round of financing. The company, which develops Web authoring and design software, has received financing from Aura Investments and May Tree Ventures.

TRAIANA TO RECEIVE SEQUOIA BACKING?

Traiana, a developer of trade processing solutions for financial institutions, has reportedly received a term sheet from Sequoia Capital as part of its current $7 million to $10 million round. Previous investors Evergreen Investments and Gemini Ventures are expected to participate in the financing. Gil Mandelzis, Shai Sole, and Eran Yehudai founded the company in May 2000.

IMAGING COMPANY NEGEVTECH RAISING $15 MILLION AT $45 MILLION

Negevtech, a developer of an imaging engine for information technology applications in industrial processes, is raising $15 million at an estimated company value of $45 million. Star Ventures and Genesis Partners are reportedly participating in the round. Previous funding came from Pitango, Qualitau, Clal Venture Capital Fund, Clal Industries and Investments, and Shrem-Fudim-Kelner.

BAMBOO HUNTING DOWN $7 MILLION

Bamboo MediaCasting, a provider of real time, high quality, rich media, wireless broadcasting solutions, is currently raising a $7 million round. Founded in 2000 by Asher Polani and Ram Arye, the company previously raised $3.5 million from SBC-Aurum Ventures, Veritas Venture Partners, Link Technologies, and Partner Communications.

Omrix Biopharmaceuticals, a developer of a biological sealant designed to prevent hemorrhaging, is about to raise another financing round. The company is currently backed by MPM Capital, Biotechnology General, and Quartz Capital Partners.

Comverse Technology (Nasdaq: CMVT) spin-off TVGate, a developer of interactive TV messaging solutions, is looking to raise $10 million in Series A financing. Founded in 2000, the company is headed by Shabtai Shoval.
